Children's Ministries

Children’s Ministries holistically addresses the spiritual needs of the younger generation of our local church family (0-18 yrs), in a quest to make Jesus Relevant to them.

To help and encourage the children to develop a personal relationship with God.

OUR MISSION        
To help Make Jesus Relevant in the lives of every child. To nurture and empower the children as they engage in God’s service and become confident leaders who can impact on their local community.
          

OUR ACTIVITIES AND TRAINING

1.  Sabbath School programs: Every Saturday, 9:30am – 10:45 am (0-18yrs)
Activities designed to stimulate and encourage exploration of the Bible and the application of the lessons learnt to each child’s day-to-day life.  Like in the educational system, Sabbath School is broken down into classes, which have been designed to reach each child at his/her level. These classes are:

2. MIQ – Most Important Questions Bible Study (13-18 yrs): Every 1st Sabbath of the Month, 3:30pm– 4:30pm                   
An interactive and lively study and discussion designed for young enquiring minds, following the Amazing Facts Curriculum.

3. Life Skills Sundays:  Every 4th Sunday in the month,  11am-2pm (13-18yrs)
Practical, fun, learning style-based activities for teens to learn transferable life skills.

4. The Lord’s Feast – celebrating a children's communion at the end of each quarter 9:30am – 10:45am
Once a quarter the Church as a whole celebrates communion.  An extra special service is designed for the children to help them to understand who communion is about and why we celebrate it.

5. Messy Church: 3:30pm -5:00pm.  Every 3rd Saturday in the month
This is an exciting opportunity for children to engage in a multi-sensory learning experience. There is painting, arts and crafts, games, action songs and stories to invigorate and revive each child’s spiritual experience.

6. Kidz Praise: Annually (08 July 2017)


OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS
We strive to facilitate the latest training and support for church members, as well as for people from the community, in reaching children of all ages, races and nationalities on a day-to-day basis.
